Last weekend, we celebrated in Puerto Sherry the Fifth edition of Semana Clásica. It has been a different edition in which have highlighted the desire and enthusiasm for sailing. We had the presence of the Nao Victoria at the start of the first race and we have been able to enjoy it throughout the weekend in the marina of Puerto Sherry.
The surprise of the regatta has been the brilliant role of the “Folía”, boat restored in an express way by the Vela Clásica Foundation of Spain in the dry dock of Puerto Sherry, and that finished the day in second position among the classic boats. Three categories of regattas were held; Maylo was the winner in the Mini class, Buzz Light Year in the Retro class and, finally, the Seventy in the modality of classic boats.
Once again, we would like to thank our main sponsor for their collaboration in this Fifth edition of Semana Clásica; GICA (Real Estate Managers of the Province of Cadiz), and of course, the collaboration of Marina Puerto de Santa María (Puerto Sherry), Vela Clásica Foundation of Spain, Gipsy 1927, Cruzcampo (Melgarejo Distribuciones), La Ibense, Atuna and La Cotorra (Grupo Merino), and the support of the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation, the Andalusian Sailing Federation, Trofeo Clásicos Mare Nostrum and the Fifth Centenary of the First Voyage Around the World.
