The new vessel will improve port operations and support sustainable nautical activities.
El Puerto de Santa María, 5 July 2024 – Puerto Sherry has added to its fleet the revolutionary Hydronave HY480, an innovative sustainable vessel designed to change the future of sailing, incorporating cutting-edge technologies that ensure an efficient, safe and environmentally friendly sailing experience. Based on the agreement with the shipyard that built the Hydronave HY480, it will remain at the marina for an initial period of one year, allowing for a variety of uses that will benefit both the marina’s operations and the local boating community.
The new vessel represents a step forward in the improvement of port operations and the promotion of nautical sport and recreation, and will be used for multiple applications within the port, including assistance in sporting events and special activities organised in Puerto Sherry, intra-port use by the harbour master and seamen for various operational tasks, support for the Puerto Sherry Sailing Club in training and sporting events, as well as recreational and other uses that Puerto Sherry deems appropriate.
Recently certified with the CE mark (Conformité Européenne), a key indicator of a product’s compliance with European Union (EU) legislation on health, safety and environmental protection, the Hydronave HY480 is set to redefine standards in the boating industry. Features include hyper-stability, a load capacity of up to 2,500 kg, and an unsinkable design, ensuring an exceptionally safe and smooth sailing experience.
Powered by a 100% electric motor, this vessel emits no pollutants or noise, thus preserving the marine environment. In addition, the Hydronave HY480 can rotate 360 degrees on its axis and is remotely controllable, making it an ideal choice for a variety of commercial, recreational and marina operational applications.
