This past weekend, Puerto Sherry hosted the inaugural edition of the Fungo Hybrid Race, a pioneering outdoor hybrid event that brought together 450 participants, with an impressive 52% female turnout, highlighting the inclusive and diverse spirit of the race.

The competition combined functional fitness challenges with running segments over a six-kilometre course. Athletes alternated between eight workout stations and eight running stretches of 600 metres each — except for the first and last runs, which were 900 metres — creating a demanding yet engaging format for both fitness enthusiasts and competitive athletes.

During the awards ceremony, Puerto Sherry’s General Manager, Nicolás Figueras, expressed his enthusiasm for the event:
“We are thrilled to host the first edition of the Fungo Race. Events like this show that Puerto Sherry is more than just a nautical destination — it’s a space for sport, health, and wellbeing in a unique setting.”
