15 Jul Classical Week kicks off its VI edition in Puerto Sherry
This week begins in Puerto Sherry the VI edition of the Classic Week. One more year, fans of this sport will congregate in our complex to enjoy great days longed for by all lovers of this sport between the next 20 and 24 July.
As in previous editions, the organization has also planned a parallel social program that will make our port the perfect destination to enjoy both the sporting aspect and the glamorous atmosphere that surrounds the classic sailing.
The regatta is scoring for the XII Trofeo Clásicos Mare Nostrum – Copa de España de Barcos Clásicos y Época C.I.M., as well as Copa de España de Barcos Clásicos y Época JCH. This event will be, in part, very special because it is included in the commemorative program of the V Centenary of the First Round the World Race.
The sixth edition of the regatta will begin on July 20 with the usual registration of participants and the official welcome ceremony for the sailors. The sea trials will begin on Thursday 21, with a coastal race that will cross the bay of Cadiz offering an attractive spectacle seen both from the sea and from land.
Last year Maylo won the Mini class, Buzz Light Year took first place in the Retro class and Seventy in the Classic class. Who will be the winners of this year’s edition?
We would like to thank the organization to our Yacht Club and the collaboration of the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation, the Andalusian Sailing Federation, Classics Trophy Mare Nostrum and the Classic Sailing Foundation of Spain.
