Successful “Colouring Lives” Solidarity Ronqueo in Puerto Sherry

Half a thousand people enjoyed the day of solidarity with sick children in which more than twenty thousand euros were raised.

El Puerto de Santa María, 24 June 2024 – Last weekend Puerto Sherry hosted the III Ronqueo Solidario “Coloreando Vidas” (Colouring Lives), organised by the artist Fernando Quirós. This charity event, held for the second consecutive year in the marina, brought together 500 people with the aim of raising funds to fit out a special room in the Hospital de Jerez, for children with stroke and neurological problems.

The day, which combined gastronomy, art and live music, raised more than twenty thousand euros. Petaca Chico was in charge of the traditional tuna ronqueo, after which the attendees enjoyed a tasting menu prepared by nine outstanding restaurants in the area. Kamikaze, La Niña de Gonzalo, Berdó, the Puerto Sherry restaurant, La Bodeguita del Bar Jamón, Kynos, Sarmiento, El Laul and Tiemar, delighted attendees with eight main courses and a dessert, all based on the acclaimed red almadraba tuna.

Fernando Quirós expressed his thanks to all participants and sponsors for their generosity, highlighting the expansion of the event and its positive impact on the city. José Ramón Paramio, director of the Puerto Sherry Hotel and Suites, reaffirmed the port’s commitment to this noble cause and the success of this edition, which hopes to mark a milestone in raising money to start the necessary works at the hospital. Among the friends who supported the artist to achieve the objective, the dancer Sara Baras was also present.

Puerto Sherry is proud to have been the setting for this charity event, demonstrating once again its commitment and support for charitable projects that improve the lives of children in need.
