12 Nov Puerto Sherry joins the current of solidarity with Valencia
The marina organises a solidarity zambomba in support of those affected by the DANA
El Puerto de Santa María, 12th November 2024 – Next Saturday 23rd November, the Hotel Puerto Sherry will host a Zambomba in solidarity with Valencia, a charity event that aims to raise funds to support the victims of the recent hurricane that has severely affected the Valencian Community. The event will take place between 13:30h and 18:30h, with an entrance fee of 10 euros, which will be donated in its entirety to the Red Cross to help those affected by the catastrophe.
The event, which will be held at the Poolbar on the terrace of the Puerto Sherry Hotel, will include a special menu with popular prices, with tickets at 2, 3 and 5 euros to enjoy a varied gastronomic offer, accompanied by ambient music and live performances. The ticket includes as an invitation from Puerto Sherry a tapa and a drink.
From 13:30h, attendees will be able to enjoy a musical programme that includes performances by the groups Son del Sur, from 15:00h to 17:00h, and Familia Fernández, who will close the zambomba from 17:00h to 18:30h. On this day, parking will be free throughout the day.
Nicolás Figueras, General Manager of Puerto Sherry and Valencian by birth, wanted to express the personal meaning that this event has for him. ‘These are complicated times in Valencia and they need everyone’s collaboration. From a distance, this is the way in which we can best contribute. Not only now, we must work together to help the Valencian people return to normality as soon as possible’. Figueras also stresses that the solidarity zambomba ‘not only celebrates our traditions, but also seeks to support those who need it most’.
Puerto Sherry invites everyone to join in this day of solidarity, where every euro raised will help those whose lives have been affected by the DANA. Despite the pain of the cause, it is intended to be a day full of joy, music and an atmosphere of fellowship, where every contribution counts. As Figueras says, ‘together, we can make a significant difference in the lives of many people’.
