Puerto Sherry joins the Naval Maritime Cluster of Cadiz

The marina of El Puerto de Santa María has joined this business grouping which brings together the main companies of the Andalusian maritime naval sector.

Puerto Real (Cádiz), 27 February 2023 – The Puerto Sherry marina has this week formalised its membership of the Cadiz Naval Maritime Cluster, a business group representing the Andalusian naval maritime sector.

In this way, Puerto Sherry has become a member of the Cluster, of which the most relevant companies, entities and institutions of the sector in Andalusia form part. With the incorporation of Puerto Sherry, the Cluster now has a total of 66 members, including Navantia, the University of Cadiz, the TRADE agency of the Andalusian Regional Government, the Confederation of Employers of Cadiz (CEC), FEMCA, the Cadiz Provincial Council, the town councils of San Fernando, Puerto Real, Rota and Cadiz, the Free Trade Zone and a wide range of companies representing the sector.

The president of the CMNC, José Luis García-Zaragoza, wanted to “welcome Puerto Sherry to the Cluster family” and stressed the importance of having this new partner, which he said “enriches this association, because it is another very important part of the maritime sector that is represented by having Puerto Sherry as a partner”.

“Puerto Sherry is one of the best marinas in southern Europe. It has a marina with 874 berths for boats up to 71 meters long and 3.5 meters draft, a dry dock of 22,000 square meters equipped with two ‘travel lift’ (50 and 150T), a ‘fork lift’ (10T) and three slipways.”

It also has a wide range of nautical workshops that offer all kinds of services related to the maintenance and repair of boats (carpentry, painting and sandblasting, hull cleaning, fiber and composite works, osmosis treatment, mechanics and electronics, inspections and reviews, engineering, spare parts, technical advice), in short, everything a user may need for the tuning of his boat”.
